Shanghai is one of China’s most important cities and a powerhouse for the country’s logistics infrastructure. We have a great team in place and are pleased to welcome our newest member: Business development manager Niclas Andersson.
Six million teu ahead of Singapore, Shanghai is the world’s busiest container port, while Shanghai airport is the world’s third busiest for cargo throughput.
The volumes moving through Shanghai are astonishing and is why our operation continues to expand, moving into new offices in late 2016, to support ongoing growth.
Norman Global Logistics Asia managing director, Stefan Homlqvist, is committed to growth and development in Shanghai and across China and welcomed our new business development manager.
Niclas, how did you come to be in Shanghai and join our team. “My background was originally client-side, in fashion, handling imports and distribution. Since I began working in freight forwarding, predominantly on sea freight operations and latterly in sales, I have seen the value in using my client-side experience to anticipate importers requirements.
I began learning Chinese some time ago. As my prowess has increased a move to China has become more appealing.
I moved to Shanghai in 2017 to continue my studies and learn more about the country, its culture and people.
With my Chinese improving, I’m ready for challenges and, having learnt about Norman Global Logistics from industry friends, I’m really excited to be joining such a unique team.
I really believe this is a great opportunity for my professional and personal development and look forward to working with clients, partners and my new colleagues.“
